Our Vintage 1950's Railway Wagons

Our spacious hard-standing gravel pitches can accommodate most sizes of touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, including space for an awning. All pitches have an electric hook-up point and relaxing views of the beautiful local countryside.


(Please note that we recommend a 25m electric cable as a few of the pitches require this)

Absolutely gorgeous site, showers and toilets immaculate. Cafe selling delicious food with a drinks licence. Family owned site, all staff and family are so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return.

We absolutely loved this site. Despite the torrential rain, we had a wonderful time. The staff are brilliant - love you all, ladies (and Glynn), the cafe and bar are well priced and the food is delicious, the Paddock is so cute with wallabies and alpacas and ducks plus the rest and the view is amazing. The pitches are a good size and the shower block is clean, warm and welcoming. Definitely coming back next year. Jackie, you have been warned! xxxxx

Wonderful little campsite, beautiful views to be enjoyed too. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely on-site cafe/shop which does nice breakfasts, homemade cakes, savouries etc.
The facilities were great, nice and clean, and as we were the only visitors on site we were offered use of the accessible wet room which was nice and warm and spacious, the only slight little niggle was the toilet flush wasn’t great in there but that’s only a minor thing. We had a lovely break away and I would thoroughly recommend this site to anyone wishing to holiday in Co Durham.

We stayed in the railway wagon which was immaculately clean. Had everything in we needed for the weekend.
Staff were great and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Really friendly family run business.
Food and entertainment was also great. We really enjoyed our stay.
Will definitely be going back :-)
